Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyeman Badu, who became the first player to score in 2013 AFCON tournament and also won the Samsung fair play award in Ghana’s opener against DR Congo on Sunday, says he’s looking forward to tomorrow’s second group game against Mali.

The workaholic midfielder scored the first goal as the Black Stars drew 2-2 with the Leopards at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth. Badu was picked by CAF Technical study Group which appraises players in every match.

"It was a difficult game but a good point to start. I am looking forward to the next game. Thanks for all your support,” he tweeted.

Badu who plies his trade with Italian Seria A side Udinese got the goal in the 40th minute before his former club mate Kwadwo Asamoah added the second for Ghana early in the second period.

Badu, Egypt 2009 U-20 World Cup winner popped from the middle into the six yards box of the opponent to connect a brilliant pass from Kwadwo Asamoah for the first goal of the tournament.

He made his Nation’s Cup debut in 2010 when the Black Stars finished second.
