* over Robles in Australia*
Unfazed that his favourite boxer couldn’t claim the IBF Intercontinental championship he had gone into the fighting hoping for, Australia based Ghanaian matchmaker, Cephas N. K. Collison still partied amid hailing Emmanuel Tagoe’s victory over Gerardo Robles as the beginning of bigger things to come for the crafty boxer.
Collison is mostly Australia based but works all over the world fixing fights for Ghanaian boxers with the avowed dream to create world championship opportunities for boxers from this country.
Collison has taken James ‘Bukom Fire’ Armah to fight 3 times in Australia as well as Ben Ankrah who “sat in Ghana for three years without a fight but I helped him to fight in USA and Ebenezer Lantei Lamptey here in Australia first time he fought overseas in 10 years as a boxer,” in Collison’s own words.
Now he says he is also keen to delve into management but the young matchmaker is first celebrating the success of Emmanuel Tagoe who edged a step closer to the world title following the victory in California.
“Congratulations to my brother Game Boy for winning his fight through knockout round 9, that’s great. Now the world title is our next target, nothing is going to stop us,” Cephas Collison said.
He added: “I love him, I don't care what people say. The game we do is hard, that’s one thing people have to know. He is a very good boxer and he will become world champion to put our enemies to shame. Game Boy keep on working hard, you have my support all the way.”
