NSC boss tasks staff to be efficient and effective

Accra, Dec 12, GNA - Prince Ernest Oduro-Mensah, Chief Executive of the National Sports Council (NSC) has tasked staff to be effective and efficient in a bid to reposition the council as an agent of change in the development, promotion and administration of sports in the country. Addressing staff of the council at the opening of a three-day sensitisation workshop in Kumasi, Mr. Oduro-Mensah emphasized the need for fora of this nature to be used in building the capacity of those who will be at the forefront in the rejuvenation of the council.

According to a statement signed by Hamah Hamid Issaka, head of Public Relations of the NSC, the NSC Boss said for the Council to achieve its goals and objectives, it would be important for all employees to collaborate to ensure that targets set were reached. He urged the participants to take the workshop seriously, whilst cautioning ineffective and dormant staff of some department to double up or find themselves shut out of the Council's new vision. Participants were taken through topics like Financial Administration, Payroll Management, Internal Audit Agency Act, Management Procurement Law and Administration.

Some of the resources persons were Mr Daniel Dormelevo, Mrs. Elizabeth Osei, Capt. Sam Addaih, Mr. A.B. Adjei, Mr. Clement Aku and Mr. Charles Aryeh.
