Volta Region Sports Authority to mark Founder’s Day with games

The National Sports Authority (Volta Regional), will on September 21, organize Departmental Games in Ho, to celebrate this year’s Founder’s Day.

The event is to promote social inclusion, peace, unity, physical fitness and reduce non- communicable diseases among the “working class”.

Among the activities to be undertaken during the one day Games are aerobics, tug of peace, sack race, 100M walk and team challenge.

Madam Vivian Dougblor, Regional Sports Director of NSA in the region in a letter to the GNA said though sporting activities were “capital intensive” their benefits could not be underestimated.

She urged public and private corporate institutions to register to take part in the games.
