Accra, June 10, GNA - Akosombo Volta Warriors will take on Premier League side, Obuasi AshantiGold in a friendly football match at the Akosombo Sports stadium on Saturday, June 11. The match is to prepare the two sides for their respective assignments.
Volta Warriors are currently preparing for the start of the Division One League, which is scheduled to kick off on June 18, whilst Ashgold are to use the match to maintain their shape when the Premier League resumes after a two weeks break. Ashgold are billed to play Accra Hearts of Oak at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on resumption of the League.
According to the organisers of the match, a flat rate of 10,000 cedis will be charged at the gates and asked all soccer-loving fans to endeavour to attend to witness good football by the two sides.
