Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah returned to the Hoffenheim starting team on Saturday for the first time since returning from the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The towering centre-back was a key player for the Bundesliga side before departing for the tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Since his return he has been left on the bench of the club which sparked concerns that he could leave the club in the summer.
But he was returned to the team's starting line-up on Saturday as they were thrashed 7-1 by Bayern Munich as the home side showed they have not given up on the Bundesliga title yet.
Vorsah's return to the starting line-up is a boost for his career after losing his position to John Boye at the heart of the Ghana defence.
Regular playing time at club level will give him the chance to fight back for his starting place in the team.
