General Manager of West African Football Academy (WAFA) George Ofosuhene has said that referees have not fared so badly in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The WAFA scribe sharing his thought on the performance of referees after matchday 13 of the domestic top-flight league says referees have not gone badly despite complaints from some clubs.
Several coaches including Dreams FC’s Abdul Karim Zito recently expressed worry about the performance of referees in the league.
But Ofosuhene has poured cold water on the matter as he believes officiating has not been all that bad. “I will say that officiating have not been bad. I will rate it 85% though there may be some hitches somewhere I think the referees deserve some credit”
“As human as they are, we should also accept that mistakes is part of football and that, we must move on because we cannot always cry on some decisions,” he said.
He then pleaded with referees to minimize their errors going forward for the betterment of the GPL, saying that errors at times kill the spirit of a team.
