'WAFA the Barca of Ghana football'

West African Football Academy has earned the respect of Kwabena Yeboah, following their 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko on Wednesday.

According to the Sports Writers Association of Ghana President (SAWG), Kwabena Yeboah WAFA are team for the future and exhibit the Barcelona style of play on the domestic scene.

“The sort of romanticism and fluidity I saw of WAFA is unbelievable. They have the template of Barcelona and it is a team for the future

“Although they lacked the cutting edge, in terms of territorial dominance they were super. It is only, the first few minutes that I saw Kotoko assert control over the game and created two opportunities, but Dauda wasted them,” he told Kasapa fm.

WAFA, one of the new entrants from division are putting up good display, especially at home and have gone 11 games without a defeat (W9, D2). The last time WAFA lost a home game in the first Capital Plus Premier League was match day 1 against Ashanti Gold.

They are currently occupying the 3 position on the league log of the Ghana Premier league (GPL).
