West Africa Football Academy on Saturday put up a vintage display to beat Accra Hearts of Oak by 4 goals to 1 at the Sogakope Astro turf in a club friendly to keep both sides in good shape ahead of the 2015-16 season.
The game was played in three halves, with each half lasting 30 minutes, so there were 3 breaks in the course of the game.
Accra Hearts took the first blood through the spot kick from the foot of their skipper Robin Gnagne, before the academy boys drew level to end the first 30 minutes.
West Africa Football Academy dominated play in the last two halves and scored three goals to nail the ‘Continental Club Masters’ in the coffin.
Last season in the league Hearts of had the Lion’s share of their league encounters winning the first round 1-0 at Kpando, before they settled for a goalless draw on the last day of the league at Sogakope to beat relegation.
Hearts of Oak’s Japanes trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi is yet to get his starting 11, hence has deployed rotational basis, which affected his team in their game against WAFA, because they lacked cohesion and team work which the home side capitalized on to punish them.
