Wa, Feb. 7, GNA - Wa All Stars and Kumasi Asante Kotoko held their teaming supporters spell bound as they exhibited beautiful football in their Glo Premier League match played at the Wa Sports Stadium on Sunday but both sides failed to score any goal.

The home team were determined to prove to their supporters that they cannot beat Kotoko this time round while Kotoko also came with the aim of proving that they were no easy prey.

The two teams thus justified their claims by playing their hearts out and keeping their heads above the water by ensuring a goalless game.

The game started in a fast note with Wa Stars dominating the early stages as they pushed Kotoko back to their half to defend and play consciously to keep the Wa lads at bay.

Kotoko's goalie was impeded in the 25th minute when he jumped to catch an aerial ball but his defencemen were quick to come to the rescue to head the ball out from a thunderous shot from an All Stars attacker.

The goal area of the 'Porcupine Warriors was consistently besieged from thereon and on 29th minute, Nathaniel Asamoah received a pinpoint cross from the left flank but he hesitated before heading the goal which missed the post narrowly to the relief of the Kotoko's supporters.

Kotoko also took their turn in the dying minutes of the first half with Imoro Kabiru's header missing the goal post narrowly in the 40th minute while Baffour Gjan's shot was palmed away by keeper David Dadzie of All Stars to corner, which was also wasted.

The second half was no different with both teams coming into the game with the aim of undoiong each other and as early as 55th minute, Kotoko's Daniel Nii Adjei's shot at goal was parried over the bar by keeper Dadzie to the relief of the home side.

The game from thereon nearly generated into physical and a rough one but referee Vincent Otoo stamped his authority on the game as he flashed out some yellow cards to caution the players.

The two teams made some substitutions to strengthen their attacking machinery but that did not profit any of them with Nasiru Gafaru who should have given his side the maximum points saw his shot meandering across the goal posts to end proceedings.
