Wa, Aug. 3 GNA - The Wa police football team spanked the Wa National Service Personnel (NASPA) football team 4-0 in a friendly football match played at the Wa police park as part of activities marking this year's celebration of the National Service Week. Half time scores were 2-0.
The service personnel started brilliantly making a number of dangerous incursions into their opponent's goal area but their attackers wasted the chances that came their way. Spurred on by the early lead, Police head striker, constable Vincent Obeng netted the second goal for his side in the 31st minute with a powerful shot.
On resumption of the second half, the Police increased the scores with their third and fourth goals in the 70th and 75th minutes through Constable Frank Kpeh to overwhelm the Service Personnel.
