Inform Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso was in action for high flying Rio Ave as his side played out a 2-2 draw game against Estoril in the Portuguese super league.

Alhassan who is seen as a rising star in European football has been one of the most consistent performers in the Portuguese league this season and was almost everywhere on the pitch against Estoril on Saturday night.

Rio Ave who are 3rd on the Portuguese league table were the first to get on the score sheet with Dutch left back Marvin Zeegelaar putting the visitors ahead but the goal was short lived with Estoril hitting back through Brazilian Diego Carlos.

Ave then had a man sent off but that did not stop them from regaining the lead again with Portuguese forward Guedes putting coach Pedro Martins side ahead.

But when Ave thought they had done enough to win the game Afonso Taira grabbed a 96th minute equalizer to ensure that Estoril picked up a hard earned point from the game.

Alhassan who is the younger brother of Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso had a glorious chance to get on the score sheet for the first time this season but his crushing header came off the post in the second half.
