Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has been ruled out of action for three weeks with a thigh injury, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
The 25-year-old sustained the injury during Las Palmas 2-0 home defeat against Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.
He underwent further tests on Monday, and the results revealed damages to his muscles.
Wakaso suffered a muscle tear in his right leg and missed Sunday’s recovery training after the home defeat.
This a big blow for the on-loan player who was returning to the Las Palmas squad for the first time under coach Quique Setien as he played only nine minutes.
Wakaso will miss Las Palmas Copa Del Rey first leg against Real Sociedad on Thursday.
