Waris' assist rescue point for Strasbourg against Lyon

Ghana striker Majeed Waris pulled a golden assist for his Strasbourg side as they rescued a point in their 1-1 stalemate with giants Olympique Lyon on Saturday afternoon.

Former Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore broke the virginity of the game by putting the home side in front with a marvelous finish under 21 minutes.

Visiting Strasbourg grabbed the equalizer after Lucien Zohi hit the back of the net with a brilliant finish from Waris’ sexy assist in the 42nd minute.

The visitors run away with a point after Zohi’s goal from Waris’ assist in what looks an improved performance for the side in their last five games.

Waris, since joining has found the back of the net twice with an assist in 4 games.

The Ghanaian had been out of action while serving his contract at FC Porto but has now found his feet to provide Strasbourg with what they needed most.
