Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris' exit from Lorient is looming following the likely departure of his key ally Benjamin Moukandjo from the French side with the Cameroonian on the verge of going to China, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Moukandjo is set to join Chinese side Jiangsu Suning putting pressure on Waris too to leave the relegated club.

The Cameroonian is a close friend of the Ghana star and the two players were tipped for the exit with the club unlikely to take up to the responsibility of paying their huge wages are they will play in the second tier next season.

The 28-year-old Moukandjo is heavily tipped for the exit door this summer following the side's relegation from the French top-flight last season.

The Cameroonian formed a deadly partnership with Waris, scoring an impressive 13 goals in 25 appearances while the Ghanaian netted 9 times.

Moukandjo is contracted to the Merlus until June 2018 but the Nanjing-based side is willing to pay € 5.5 million for his capture.
