Ghanaian international Joseph Paintsil played a key role in LA Galaxy's 3-2 victory over Colorado Rapids, contributing a goal and an assist in the Major League Soccer (MLS) match on Wednesday night, July 17.
Diego Fagundez opened the scoring for the home team just 12 minutes into the game at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
The visitors equalized after Kevin Cabral's goal for Colorado.
However, it was the Ghanaian winger who put LA Galaxy in the lead 25 minutes later, scoring from close range after receiving a square pass from Gabriel Pec.
Paintsil continued his impressive performance by setting up former Barcelona midfielder Riqui Puig to further extend Galaxy's lead.
The away team managed to score late in the first half, making the score 3-2.
Despite both teams making good attempts in the second half, no more goals were scored, allowing Galaxy to secure all three points.
Paintsil has now been directly involved in 12 goals in 21 appearances, scoring seven and providing five assists.
