Ghanaian forward, Mohammed Kudus, scored a headed goal against Brighton and Hove Albion at the London Stadium during match week 17 of the English Premier League.
The game, played on Saturday, December 21, 2024, was keenly contested from the beginning. West Ham conceded in the 51st minute with a goal scored by Brighton’s Mats Wieffer.
The Hammers kept pressing and creating chances, with a Bowen shot, which was punched out by the goalkeeper, before Kudus converted the rebound into the net to get the equaliser.
Both sides continued to dominate each other; however, Brighton created more numbers of clear-cut chances, although they were all wasted, leading to the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
The result means that West Ham lie 14th on the league table with 20 points, having had a poor start to the season.
There has been pressure on head coach, Julien Lopetegui, to turn their fortunes around or face a possible sack.
