British boxer Daniel Dubois outstandingly defeated his compatriot Anthony Joshua in the fifth round of the IBF heavyweight bout on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Dubois was dominant in the fight, knocking out the two-time world champion three times to clinch the IBF heavyweight boxing title.
He put Joshua on the ground in round one with a fierce right hand just minutes before the end of the round.
Joshua could not fully recover as he wobbled throughout the remaining rounds.
The second round belonged entirely to Dubois. He overwhelmed Joshua, who could barely withstand the pressure.
In the third round, Dubois's left jab sent Joshua teetering and eventually dropping after Dubois followed up and applied more pressure.
Joshua seemed to gain momentum in round five, but Dubois put him to bed with an incredible right hook, catching Joshua off guard to claim a stunning victory.
The bout had a record 96,000 fans in attendance at Wembley, setting one of the biggest-ever crowds at a sporting event in the United Kingdom.
