Black Stars' goalkeeper trainer, Fatau Dauda, took the goalkeepers through the art of defending cut-back cross ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifies tie against Mali.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the former Ashanti Gold goalkeeper guided the goalkeepers on how to best position themselves to deal with cut-back crosses.

The video also showed how he instructed the goalkeepers on positioning for angled shots.

Lawrence Ati-Zigi and Joseph Wollacott were the two goalkeepers spotted throughout the routine, while Frederick Asare missed the session.

Asare, who missed the session on Sunday, June 2, 2024, was recalled by his club Asante Kotoko for their league game against Great Olympics.

The Black Stars are expected to depart Ghana today, June 4, for the qualifier against Mali.

The team will train in Bamako on Wednesday before they face the Eagles on Thursday, June 6, at the Stade du 26 Mars.
