Hearts of Oak fans booed their players despite defeating Bechem United to secure their top-flight status for next season.
In a video sighted by GhanaWeb Sports, fans gathered in the car park and booed the players as they boarded their bus after the match.
However, security ensured the safety of the players and officials, preventing any physical altercations with the upset fans.
The 21-time league champions had a tumultuous season but managed to come from behind twice to secure a 3-2 victory over Bechem at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on the final matchday of the 2023/2024 season.
This win was crucial in maintaining their top-flight status, and they achieved it thrillingly.
Emmanuel Owusu scored first, giving the hosts the lead in the 30th minute. However, Hearts of Oak defender Kofi Agbesimah equalized three minutes later with a powerful header.
The first half ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving the Rainbow side in danger of relegation.
Bechem United took the lead in the second half with a goal from Bismark Edjeodji, adding to the visitors' troubles. But late goals from Kelvin Asibey and Yaw Amankwaa Baafi turned the game in Hearts' favor.
Ultimately, Hearts of Oak finished 14th with 45 points, just one point above the relegation zone.
