Asante Kotoko ended their losing streak with a crucial away victory over Aduana FC on Sunday, November 24, 2024.
Patrick Asiedu and Albert Amoah inspired the Porcupines to a 2-0 win at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park.
Asiedu opened the scoring with a sublime free kick from the edge of the box just nine minutes into the game, giving Kotoko a first-half lead. Amoah sealed the victory with a close-range finish late in the second half.
The win lifts Kotoko to mid-table, sitting just a point below arch-rivals Hearts of Oak ahead of the highly anticipated Super Clash.
In addition, the Porcupine Warriors ended Aduana’s four-game unbeaten run, securing their second away victory over the Ogya Lads in two years.
Meanwhile, Aduana have dropped to 13th on the league table with just 12 points, having won only two games all season.
