Nsoatreman FC recorded a resounding 3-0 victory over TP Elect Sport of Chad in their first CAF Confederation Cup match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Abdul Rahman broke the deadlock for Nsoatreman FC in the 31st minute when he calmly scored the opening goal of the match.
Former Ghana U-20 winger Kwabena Adu Meider later scored the second goal two minutes later with a well-placed strike.
The Ghanaian club finished off their Chad opponents when Rahman scored his second goal in the 36th minute from a low cross by Shaibu Iddrisu.
Elect Sport were later reduced to 10 men after their goalkeeper, Mahamat Bechir, was sent off in the 54th minute for handling the ball outside the box.
Elect Sport became resolute after being a man short and denied Nsoatreman a couple of chances in the second half. Goalkeeper Daniel Afazdwu was able to keep a clean sheet in his debut CAF Confederation Cup match after making three strong saves.
Nsoatreman will travel to N'Djamena on August 24, 2024, for the second leg in Chad.
