Black Stars deputy skipper Thomas Partey began the season with a solid performance in Arsenal's win over Wolves on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
Partey, whose future at the club is deemed uncertain, started and played the entire game as the Gunners began their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win at home.
The Ghanaian created four chances, completed 33 out of 37 passes, won two out of three tackles, made 3 clearances, and made three recoveries while having a total of 50 touches. He came close to scoring in the second half but his shot from the edge of the box went just wide.
Partey ended the game as one of the top-rated Arsenal players in the match with a 7.8 rating by FotMob.
Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka were on the scoresheet for Arsenal as the North London side commenced yet another quest to end their league drought with a win.
The Gunners will face Aston Villa in their next game of the new season on Saturday.
