Ghana's Men's 4×100m relay team claimed the gold medal at the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) Senior Championships in Cameroon.
Team Ghana clocked a time of 38.63 seconds to claim the first position, while Nigeria finished second with a time of 38.84 seconds.
The quartet of Ibrahim Fuseini, Isaac Botsio, Edwin Gadayi, and Abdul Rasheed Saminu ensured that Ghana secured its second win in a relay event in 2024.
Ghana has now beaten Nigeria twice in three relay matchups, including the Bahamas World Athletics Relays and the CAA. Nigeria's only victory over Ghana came at the 2024 African Games in Accra.
While the Men's team won gold, the Ghanaian women's relay team settled for silver in their race.
The team, comprising Hor Halutie, Mary Boakye, Deborah Acheampong, and Anita Afrifa, ran a time of 43.62 seconds, finishing behind Nigeria, who won gold with a time of 43.01 seconds.
