ASHANTIGOLD?S DEPENDABLE goal-poacher, Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour, and slippery Ofosu Amoah, ?Tico Tico?, are desirous of crossing carpets to other clubs, in the midst of the Miners? trying moments, reports Isaac Franklin.

But, Mr. Kudjoe Fianoo, the acting chief executive officer (CEO) of Ashantigold, has stated, management would not put any impediments in the paths of players intending to switch camp to foreign or local clubs.

The acting CEO indicated that, whenever players were stopped from making moves to other clubs, they created problems for their mother clubs, hence the club?s decision to allow players make their own choices.

Mr. Fianoo, who was speaking in an interview with Guide Sports, yesterday, noted, Asante Kotoko had officially approached his management for the services of greasy right-winger, Ofosu Amoah.

According to the acting CEO, even though Ofosu Amoah?s contract with Ashantigold would elapse in December 2006, the Miners are ready to release him to Kotoko, at a sign-on fee, yet to be quoted by Ashantigold management.

In the interim, he hinted, the management of the two sides were in talks over an unresolved saga, relating to Isaac Boakye?s onward transfer fee.

Mr. Fianoo recalled, Ashantigold?s 40 per cent share of the transfer of Black Stars striker, Isaac Boakye, from Kotoko to the German side, Arminia Beliefeld, had not been settled.

He noted that, Kotoko paid Ashantigold the 40 per cent fee due it, after the German Bundesliga side, Arminia Bielefeld signed Boakye, on a loan agreement. He added that, when the German club extended the contract, after the loan spell, the Porcupine Warriors failed to settle Ashantigold?s share, about ?60 million.

Meanwhile, Kotoko says it has already settled debts owed Ashantigold, as regards the Black Stars? marksman, Boakye.

The Porcupine Warriors insisted they do not owe the Miners, having paid the 40 per cent share of the onward transfer fee of Boakye.

Boakye has been superb in goal-scoring in the Bundesliga, after coming back from injury.
