Bashiru Hayford, head coach of the senior national female football team, the Black Queens, has said, he is ready for any opponent in the ongoing 11th Total Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON), being hosted by Ghana.

Speaking at a post-match press conference on Monday, he said the Black Queens of Ghana is the best team in the tournament and were ready to face any opponent no matter how strong they are.

He said, all the teams have prepared for the trophy and he was also prepared to win with his team, hence they must meet the best in the competition.

"Ghana is the best team in the competition. Others think it's Cameroon, some think it's Mali. Some think blue is the brightest colour, others think it's white. But to me, Ghana is the best team in the tournament."

He urged the fans to come to the stadium to support the Black Queens adding that, support and motivation were very key in sports.

"It is only the living that do sports, not the dead in the cemetery.

"Spectators are very critical to every team, that is why you don't see Awudome XI playing Mile 11 XI," he added.

Priscilla Okyere, a top player of the Black Queens who was also at the press conference said they are ready for any team.

"We are ready to make Ghanaians happy. This is our time and we want to host and win" she told Yours Truly.

Ghana would face Mali as Cameroon clash with Algeria on Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
