Franceville, Jan. 27, GNA- Black Stars goalkeeper, Adam Kwarasey has parried every pressure that comes with the talk of “this is Ghana's time” to end the Nations Cup drought.

Ghana will be chasing a fifth Nations Cup glory after three decade wait and Kwarasey who is in Ghana's post for that pursuit, says the team can start talking about winning the trophy once they reach the last four.

“It will be very great to win the tournament but it is important to take a game at a time. When we get to the semi finals, it will be a good time to talk about winning the trophy.”

The goalkeeper has his sight fixed on Ghana's next opponent, Mali as both teams ready to meet each other in a second Group game at the Franceville Stadium on Saturday.

“The game against Botswana was a very tough one because first games are always like that. We had a tough time but the most important thing was we grabbed all three points.

“The one against Mali will not be any easy. But we have a good team and with commitment and a good performance, there is no way we cannot beat Mali”. He declared.

The Stars' progress in the tourney that laces Africa's best 16 together biannually could hinge on the outcome of Saturday's game. A win by any side could mean progress to the next stage of the continental gathering even before their respective last group games.

Ghana and Mali are joint leaders in Group D after both won their respective first games against Botswana and Guinea in the opener.

Kwarasey made his debut at the Nations Cup in the game with Botswana.
