‘We have lost two-thirds of our revenue’ - Frederick Moore

The Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Frederick Moore has revealed how the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic has taken a severe toll on the financial standing of the club.

Football has been suspended in Ghana since March following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

With no football activities going on in the country, clubs in Ghana and across the world have suffered a severe financial toll.

Managing director of Hearts of Oak Frederick Moore is the latest to voice out his club financial hiatus due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

According to him, the club has lost a substantial amount of its revenue projection for the year.

“We’ve lost about two-thirds of the revenue projection we made for this football season and it’s quite a scare.” He told Happy FM Sports.

The managing director also disclosed that club’s in Ghana can’t survive with only internal generated fund but will need a helping hand with government.

“For ghana football to really do well and compete internationally, we need support from corporate Ghana and the government.”

Frederick Moore ended by saying most of the sponsorship deal they were looking to strike didn’t materialize due to the outbreak of the Covid-19.
