The Premier League Management Committee has vowed to have a sterner approach towards the issue of poor officiating and match-fixing that has dented the image of the domestic league in previous seasons.
Speaking during the Committee’s first meeting with the media which was held at the GFA secretariat on Wednesday, Chairman of the body, Lepowura MND Jawula assured that his outfit will ensure quality and fair officiating and have zero tolerance towards any cases of match-fixing in the upcoming 2019/20 campaign.
He revealed that the Committee is also looking at implementing proactive measures to help deal with some these issue from its roots.
Jawula also fired a warning to supporters and club officials who incite violence at the various match venues.
