Asante Kotoko will do everything possible to keep our prized asset Sogne Yacouba, according to clubs Chief Executive Officer George Amoako.

The 26-year-old has quickly established himself as a key member of the team since joining on a three-year-deal at the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

The Burkinabe international was the toast of the fans on Sunday when he bagged a brace to help the Reds beat sworn rivals Hearts of Oak 2-0 in the first leg of the Super 2 Clash friendly match.

The former Stade de Malian attacker was heavily linked with a move away from the Kumasi-based outfit in the ongoing European transfer window outfit following his fantastic start to life at the club.

However, according to the club's boss George Amoako, his outfit will put a fight to keep hold of their prized asset.

"He is a very good asset to us and very talented. Look at how he scored the two goals for us yesterday," Amoako told Oyerepa FM.

"He demonstrated how purposeful he is at goal, I admire him a lot."

"We will do our possible best to keep him at Kotoko, we need such players for our club."

"These are the kind we want to see playing for Kotoko so we will not allow him leave."

"If for any reason he has to leave he won't go cheap."
