Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan is relishing another opportunity for the team to write their previous wrongs against Accra Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA Cup final in Tamale this Sunday.
The team’s performances against their sworn rivals in recent outings have not been able to withstand criticisms from the fans, with the fiercest of them coming after the first leg of the Ghana @60 match in Accra; a match Felix Annan would like to forget.
Felix Annan’s display on the day came under sharp focus after his admitted errors left his team with a lot to do in overturning a two-goal deficit in the second leg; an occasion he has since urged the supporters of the club to put behind them and focus on the impending assignment on Sunday.
“As I always say, if you’re a professional, you just have to move on. We are human and we make mistakes,” Annan said.
Now presented with a brand-new opportunity to put another memorable triumph over Accra Hearts of Oak into their trove, Annan is not mincing words on how delightful the prospect is, and how much he is relishing the chance to put a smile back unto the faces of the teeming fans of the Porcupine Warriors.
“We have psyched up ourselves for the game against them [Hearts of Oak] on Sunday and we are determined to right all our wrongs get a memorial victory for the fans.
“We urge the fans to keep praying and supporting us and I can assure them that we [the players] will fight to get the victory.”
