The General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana, Anthony Baffoe has called on authorities to contract professional pitch consultants to improve the nature of our fields for quality football.
After the 2014/15 First Capital Plus Premier League, many players complained about the bad nature of pitches in the country.
Even though many football pitches have seen some major improvements this season, the FIFA General Coordinator says pitch consultants must be hired to help improve our pitches.
“We need not to rely on only one body. We need professional pitch consultants to guide us in developing our pitches,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com
“I was in Kumasi during the National U13 Milo Championship and I was in love with the Paa Joe pitch.
“We need to get in touch with the one in charge and tap his expertise. The nature of our pitches contributes to the quality of our game.”
“If you look at the Accra Sports Stadium, no one needs to tell you that it needs regrassing.
