Captain of the Black Stars Asamoah ‘The Baby Jet’ Gyan has thrown a challenge to his colleagues to focus ahead of their Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the Diables Rouges of Congo on Friday.
“We need to focus on Friday’s game and then make sure we come out with a positive result,” the Ghana all-time leading goal scorer [Asamoah Gyan] told the media after the team’s recovery training on Tuesday.
The Kayseriaspor striker [Asamoah Gyan] also revealed that there are no injury worries in camp and that Ghana is ready for the Congo challenge.
The Red Devils [Diables Rouges] will touch down in Ghana today, and have their first training tomorrow at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow.
Friday’s game is a make or break affair for the Black Stars who are yet to win a game in Group E where Egypt leads the table with 6 points followed by Uganda on 4 points whilst Ghana lies third on the log with just a point.
The Ghana vs. Congo game will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, September 01 at 3:30pm.
