The Public Relations Officer of Zylofon Cash, Halifax Ansah Addo, has said that Zylofon Media is still committed to sponsoring the Ghana Premiere League despite the bribery scandal that has shaken up the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The undercover work, which was premiered Wednesday, exposed how some GFA officials, referees, football administrators and others at the National Sports Authority (NSA) received bribes in various sums to compromise their positions and work.
Key among those caught on tape by creator investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas are GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, Greater Accra Regional FA President Eddie Doku and the Northern Regional FA President Abdulai Alhassan.
Speaking on Onua FM’s Yen Nsem Pa on Thursday, Halifax Ansah Addo revealed that his organisation is not discouraged in its quest to support the Ghana Premier League.
He was responding to questions whether Zylofon Cash has plans of pulling out its support for the League.
He added that there is no cause to pull out of the deal with or without the presence of some individuals at the FA if that is intended to make the FA better.
Citing how the recent dismissal of Chief Executive Officers of four state institutions has not affected the organisations as they are rendering services, he said the interdiction of few people at the FA will not affect the entire body.
He, however, said if the League is cancelled, then obviously there would be no need supporting something that is non- existent.
That is when they will find their exit clause and pull out.
