We shall confront indiscipline head-on – Nyantakyi

Kwesi Nyantekyi, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has said his outfit will no longer sweep acts of indiscipline in the camp of the Black Stars under the carpet.

“Henceforth, we are going to confront indiscipline head-on and no one will be spared the rod.

“In the past, we have tried to sweep indiscipline under the carpet to ensure peace, but this will never happen because it affected the team in our last campaign.

“You may be the best player in the team, but if you fail to abide by the disciplinary codes, you will be shown the exit”.

He said players will be made to sign a contract before playing for the Black Stars in future.

Nyantakyi cited an instance in 2010 where he had to beg coach Milovan Rajevac to keep Sulley Muntari in camp when the coach was bent on sacking him for disciplinary issues.

“We have done these things in the past, but I don’t think I will engage myself in such acts on behalf of any player again. The codes of discipline will be implemented to the later”.
