Ghana FA Executive Committee member, Kurt E. S. Okraku says the nation’s highest football governing committee is in full support of the appointment of George Afriyie as new Vice-President of the association.
George Afriyie was appointed by FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi to be his deputy in a statement during the first meeting of the new FA Executive Committee on Thursday afternoon.
Executive Chairman for newly-promoted Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC believes the entire board was satisfied with the appointment.
“We are okay with it. It is not an issue about me, it is about the Committee and most importantly about what the President wants,” Okraku said after his first meeting as an Executive Committee member at the GFA secretariat.
“I think that George over time has paid his dues, he has worked closely with the president, and he has the absolute confidence of both the President and the Executive Committee.”
“He has our fullest support and I think that overall, the President has picked people representing the various interest groups on the Committee and we are happy with it,” Kurt concluded.
