Kwame Opare Addo, the Public Relation Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak has disclosed that management did their best to keep players whose contract expired.
He noted that they called all the players six months to the end of their contract but none turned up.
Speaking to Asempa FM, on Friday, 24th, November 2017, he said that, “Management and Board members of Hearts of Oak did everything possible to renew the contracts of our players even before June this year but the players never showed up and kept keeping excuses.”
Opare Addo added that management can’t take the blame if the players didn’t show interest in staying at the club.
Seven players namely, Thomas Abbey, Vincent Atingah, Fatau Mohammed, Leonard Tawiah, Robin Gnange, Ghandi Kassenu and Kwame Kizito have all failed to renew their contract after it expired last season.
