Ghana Premier League (GPL) debutants Techiman Eleven Wonders have said they are enjoying life in topflight football and hence would want to “stay” for much longer.
Mr Joseph Kwabena Fosu, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club told the GNA Sports in an interview that, they have had a smooth sail so far and were happy with conditions in the top flight, particularly with its better sporting environment. He said that, playing in the lower division was very difficult, adding that it was an experience they would not want to repeat.
“It has been fantastic for us in the Premier League. We struggled before we got this far and so I don’t think we would joke in the league. We are here to stay and that is the more reason why we are moving heaven and earth to keep this club in the Premier League,” Mr Fosu emphasised.
As part of measures to ensure their stay in the league, the club has contracted the services of former Premier League winning coach, Enos Kwame Adepa after sacking Mumuni Gamel, who qualified the team to the top flight, after 12 games.
Adepa’s major task is to steer Wonders clear off relegation in their first season. Wonders are currently safe from the drop zone as they lie 11th with 14 points.
