Accra, Nov 6, GNA - Coach Hans-Dieter Schmidt, Technical Director of King Faisal Football Club has stated that his side would approach all league matches with the needed professionalism since that is what they stand for.
Speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports after his boys had held Hearts to a one all draw at the Cape Coast Stadium last Wednesday, the German said, his side is not playing for any side to gain advantage in the league adding, "we play for ourselves and we must win for ourselves".
He said, " we are professionals and our players play to take winning bonuses and not for any club," adding that they are going to approach the remaining of their matches including that of Bofoakwa and Kotoko with all the seriousness they deserves.
Coach Schmidt said beating Bofoakwa and Kotoko would enhance the chances of the team in participating in Africa Club competitions next year because that is their target for the season.
The Coach said his side is well prepared to take on Africa and he is looking forward for a successful continental competition. Commenting on the match against Hearts of Oak, coach Schmidt said he was satisfied with the performance put up by his boys in the game. Coach Schmidt was, however, not happy with the performance of the referee who officiated in the match as most of the decisions taken were against them.
The coach said he would use the two-week break in the league to further strengthen the team for the remaining league matches as they have resolved to go all out.
Faisal are currently lying on the third position of the national premier league with 45 points and would qualify for both African Clubs competition and the Coca Cola Top Four competition next year should they maintain their position till the end.
