Head coach of Medeama SC, Evans Adortey has promised the fans of the club and the country as a whole that they will make sure they make Ghanaians proud as they play in the money zone of the CAF Confederation Cup competition.

Adotey who was the technical director of the club was appointed as the head coach of the club when their head coach Tom Strand left the team in their first league match against Mamelodi Sundowns when they lost by 3:1.

Medeama now await for the group stages fixtures of the CAF Confederations cup competition after their qualification ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns.

“In our last edition of this same CAF Confederation Cup competition we were knocked out on penalties at Essipon Sports Stadium on the last stage that would have helped us to go into the money zone of the competition and since we have been able to go through the money zone, we will now take it match after match.” He told Asempa Sports.

“I believe we can do it because at this stage what we need is good planning, good organization and good preparation to enable us to go far in this competition because if you are able to bring your players to the standard that you expect them to play then you have no problem.”

“We have watched other teams play and we realize that we can do it because we were able to go and draw away and win it here, lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa and if we have been able to go through the competition then am promising the all Ghanaians that we Medeama can also make Ghanaians proud.” He added.
