Asante Kotoko vice-captain, Emmanuel Gyamfi has hinted that two more additions will make them a formidable side in their upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.
The Kumasi-based club was selected by the Ghana Football Association to represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League after the 2019-2020 league season was canceled.
Asante Kotoko has come under scrutiny in the media, and pundits have been debating on whether the club’s current squad can really make an impact on the continental showpiece.
Speaking to outlet ghanasportspage.com, winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has described the current squad as “a better team”, but admits the club needs to make few additions to enable them to put up a better performance when the tournament starts.
“If we make one or two additions that will be the best”, he said.
“For now we are having a better team there, it’s not up to the best, so if we are able to add one or two, it shouldn’t be more than two, if we get one or two (players) I hope it will make the team perfect and get the best out of Kotoko,” he added.
