Oppong Kwaku Evans, Public Relation Officer (PRO), of Aduana Stars Football Club, has said, the team will use the Normalisation Committee (NC) Special Cup, to assess players ahead of the resumption of the full league in the country.
He said the club would assess the fitness and strength of the players, by blending old and new players, ahead of main season.
According to Mr. Evans, the team took advantage of the long break to scout for players from Senior High Schools, divisions one and two to beef up their adding that, these players would be given the opportunity to exhibit their talents.
“A lot of new player signings went on during the break, following Anas Number 12 expose.
"Our target is not to win the NC Competition, neither are we showing up to perform abysmally, we are tackling our match against Kumasi this Sunday with all the seriousness it deserves.
Mr. Evans, made these remarks in an interview with the GNA Sports in Dormaa-Ahenkro on the preparation the team, ahead of their game against Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
"We want to blend the new young players with the old ones and through that process offer an opportunity for them to learn and tap knowledge and skill from the old experienced players to boost their morale.
“This would enable us to build a formidable side for the main league," he stated.
