The Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV, has disclosed plans to invest in getting a formidable squad to compete at the highest level for the club.
Since winning the Ghana Premier League in the 2020/21 season, the Phobians have fallen below the pecking order.
Last season, the club escaped the snares of relegation on the final day after they managed to win their match over Bechem United.
Although the club has achieved many strides off the pitch, the worry of many fans is to see the club win matches.
However, Togbe Afede XIV has intimated that getting a solid squad is their current priority.
"We know that it doesn't take only infrastructure," he said.
"We need solid management; we continue to work at it. We need a solid technical team; we continue to work on that as well. We need a solid group of players; we are working at it."
The club chairman stated this at the unveiling of their commercial office in Accra on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
