Week two of Junior Tennis League records great results

The Junior Tennis League recorded great results over the weekend at the Accra Sports Stadium Tennis courts.

About 100 juvenile players drawn from eight tennis clubs in Accra, including the Atomic Tennis Club, Korle-Bu Tennis Club, Accra Lawn Tennis Club, Ghana Tennis Club at Adabraka, 37 Army Officers Mess Tennis Club and Baboo Sports Academy are participating in the ongoing games for boys and girls Under-12, Under-14 and Under-16 categories.

Sponsored by the Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG), the Junior Tennis League was established to unearth and nurture budding talents in the country.

The boys from 37 tennis club lost to Atomic in the Under 12 Singles, Herbert Doe-Adjani was defeated by Kingsley Kwaku Danso 3-5,0-4 whiles Richmond Achampong beat Imoran Akosowah 4-2,4-0.

37 again fell below the log to Atomic in the Boys U-12 Doubles by 4-1,4-0.

Atomic Tennis Club maintain their fine form in the Boys 14 and under the as they won 2-0. Michael Adjei beating Stephen Lamptey 4-0,4-0.

Abubakari Yakubu-Lea had a walk over and in the doubles event, in the Doubles Yakubu/ George beat Stephen/ Joseph 3-5,4-2, 10-6.

In other games Stadium B Tennis Club outshined Kaneshie Tennis in the boys 12, 14 and 16, whiles in the Boys under 12 Stadium B won 3-0 against Kaneshie Tennis Club.

1. Aaron Armah vs Derrick Boateng ended 4-0,4-0 as Jones Quaye defeated Hakeem Ayuba 4-2,4-2.
