West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has praised Mohammed Kudus for his crucial goal in their 4-1 win over Ipswich Town in the English Premier League.
The Ghana star's first goal of the season came at a key moment, helping the Hammers secure their first home win of the campaign after a disappointing start.
Kudus, who had faced criticism following a reported clash with manager Julen Lopetegui during a previous match, scored West Ham’s second goal just before halftime.
Reacting quickly to a rebound off the crossbar, he headed home to give his side a 2-1 lead.
Bowen, who also found the back of the net, acknowledged the importance of Kudus’ goal, stating, “Mo scored at the perfect time, because 1-1 is always a dangerous scoreline. We spoke at half-time about getting the next goal and putting the game to bed.”
The victory over Ipswich, coupled with strong performances from Michail Antonio and Lucas Paquetá, provided a much-needed boost for West Ham as they aim to improve their form this season.
