ALL STARS, YOUNG STARS OR DIE HARD?
… Who wins 2013 Cowbell National Tour Final Stage?
The Trade Fair Center will be the hot spot today as 60 cyclists from 12 clubs vie for honours to win the last Yellow, Green, Red, White and Blue Jerseys.
The Cowbell National Cycling Tour that began on Monday June 27 comes to the classic end and fans are anticipating a lot of shocks and surprises like it had been through the other regions.
Star of the Tour, Samuel Anim of Young Stars has won and kept the Green and Red Jerseys at ten stages. Young Frank Awuku Akuffo has also kept the White Jersey from the second stage, whilst the Blue Jersey in currently in the hands of All Stars.
Prosper Agbo of City Migro also holds the Yellow Jersey, with Henry Tetteh Djangmah, the defending champion not having things his own way.
The young cyclists like Victor Cudjoe, Moro Egala and Dickson Poku have proved to be very tough and competitive giving the veterans like John Zomelo no chance at all.
However, enthusiastic cyclists like Francis Tetteh, Steven Kabu, Emmanuel Sackey, Isaac Sackey, Isaac Odonkor and Mohammed Aminu Osuman are coping with the challenge hoping to case the sensation.
For the clubs general classification, All Stars, Die Hard and Young Stars are leading the pack. Volta Stars are languishing behind in the competition as most of their riders have dropped out.
The Tour officials and organisers as well as Promasidor and Pens & Plastics officials have expressed satisfaction about the event and today’s race will determine who the real champion of 2013 will be.
