Yesterday, Ghana’s Black Stars thrashed the Ethiopian National team by 5 goals as they started their journey to 2019 African Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars with the introduction of some new players found their rhythm and Ghanaians who had lost love for the team once again showed their support for the National team.
However, although Ghana won her match, something that happened on the pitch while the game was going on seem to have taken the shine off the game and also fueled speculations that there seem to be rivalry between Asamoah Gyan and Dede Ayew.
While the game was ongoing, Asamoah Gyan was substituted but failed to hand over his Captain arm band to Dede who is the deputy captain of the team. This act by Asamoah Gyan seems to have raised suspicion as to whether the two were fighting over the captaincy as always speculated.
However, pictures on social media have revealed that Asamoah Gyan had customized his captain arm band and could not have given it to Dede Ayew. Hence why Dede had to get an arm band from the bench.
