Eric Alagidede has opened up about his decision to resign from his role as the General Manager of Nsoatreman Football Club.
According to him, he has fulfilled his duties to the club in terms of service after serving as the general manager wholeheartedly for more than a year.
He clarified that he was not coerced by anybody to resign from the role, as claimed by some individuals, but rather made the decision for personal reasons that would benefit him.
Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, Alagidede noted that he will take a break to rest from football-related activities.
“When you work to a certain point and you feel like leaving the job, it's normal. It was my personal decision; nobody asked me to stop the work. I realized that I had done enough, so I should leave for another person to take over. I am tired of the work. So I just want to take a small break from football,” he said in Twi.
During Alagidede’s tenure, the club achieved significant milestones, including winning the FA Cup, their first major top-flight trophy, and participating in their maiden CAF Confederation Cup.
Nsoatreman FC appointed Eric Alagidede as general manager in July 2023.
His previous roles include serving as Chief Executive of the second-tier outfit Koforidua Suhyen Sporting Club and as Communications Manager at Karela United, a top-flight Ghanaian club.
Nsoatreman has yet to appoint another person to fill the vacant managerial role.
