Wilson Arthur urges Olympics to soften their stance

The owner of Skyy FC, Wilson Arthur has appealed to the managers of Accra Great Olympics not to overstretch the issue that has seen them in court with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and which has consequently put the start of the new football season on hold.

“In situation like this, your response will determine what will happen in future. Sometimes, if you’ve a genuine case and you decide to stretch it to the last point, to hell with anyone, it does not help” said Arthur in an exclusive interview with FootballMadeInGhana.com.

Wilson Arthur opined that, if he and his club plus the GFA, were to be in what has been described in some quarters as a “difficult situation”, he would’ve been a little liberal and not take a hardened, unbendable position.

“I would’ve soften my grounds if I was in the shoes of Great Olympics” said the bankroller of the Daboase based Division One League side. Skyy FC, have been preparing feverishly for the upcoming season with hopes of making it to the elite football division next season.

They’ve been playing trial matches and thus beat Karela United 3-2 at their newly constructed park last Sunday.
