Bishop George Agyemang, General Overseer of Winners Chapel Ghana has called on Christians to refrain from acts which hinder national development.
He said Christians will be doing a disservice to God if they do not allow the teachings of Jesus Christ to reflect in their daily activities.
Bishop Agyemang made the call at the end of the church’s Fun Games at the El-Wak Stadium in Accra on Saturday.
The Games, which formed part of activities marking the 10th Anniversary celebration of the church, saw the Amasaman branch of the church beating Headquarters 3-2 in the finals to carry the day.
In the Eating competition, Gyebi Yaw George of Lapaz Branch beat a field of six participants to emerge champion with Wisdom Aggrey also of the Lapaz Branch taking the second position.
Bishop Agyemang said the church, since its inception in the year 2004, had been able to open a bible school and 12 branches and hoped that more branches will be opened in the near future.
He said the church was in the process of acquiring a large tract of land to establish a school, which would include a primary school to the university level and also put up a hospital to cater for the poor and the needy.
Earlier on, the church made a donation to the Nsawam Prison as part of the celebration, which is on the theme “”Celebrating 10 years of God’’s Faithfulness”.
